Finally Google confirmed it: Google does not use the keywords meta tag in web ranking. This means all your effort (and mine too) using meta keywords are for nothing (at least for Google).
You can watch the video from Google explaining that Google doesn’t use keywords meta tags in search ranking at Youtube here.
Now, what are you gonna do with your keywords meta tags? Let it stay. Google doesn’t use it but it won’t harm your page and maybe other search engines are using it.

A Sitemap is essentially an XML file that describes the hierarchy of links to a site. Becomes especially important when a site:
1. is new and has few links
2. has dynamic content
3. have pages with extensive use of Flash and AJAX
4. has an archive of many pages
