Rex Tillerson Condemns Myanmar Abuses

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson condemned reported abuses against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar and said those responsible will be held accountable, according to The Associated Press. Tillerson said the reports of suffering by the Rohingya are heartbreaking and if the accusations are true “someone is going to be held to account for that.”Tillerson is scheduled to visit South Asia next week and implored the Myanmar government to bolster humanitarian access to the people in western Rakhine state.
