Hitman: CEO Teases a New Game

CEO of Hitman developer Io Interactive, Hakan Abrak has confirmed that a new entry in the series is in development.

2016’s entry in the Hitman franchise – simply titled Hitman – has received a Game of the Year edition, adding an additional episode’s worth of playable content alongside new items and visual and mechanical upgrades. In an open letter to the community, Abrak celebrates the milestone of 7 million Hitman players for the game’s ‘Season One’, whilst also looking ahead to the franchise’s future.

The next Hitman game is confirmed to be in development, although no real details are touched upon. Abrak reports that the team are making “great progress”  and promises “exciting new features and some franchise firsts”, whilst also cautioning that fans shouldn’t expect to hear anything else about the game until some point in 2018.
